When my husband and I were thinking of having our wedding I definitely knew I wanted an outdoor wedding. We wanted it to be beautiful everywhere you looked, which is why we decided to go with Lone Star Golf Course.

Shannon was also amazing to us. She spoke from experience, honesty and offered her advice when helping us make decisions. She is a professional. We could tell her goal was to make both of us happy, both in what I dreamed of and my husband’s primary concern pricing! The cost of our wedding of course was not inconsiderable, but after seeing just how much work and hours went into making our wedding happen especially leading up to it and the day of was immense and was well worth it, looking back. Shannon was extremely patient with us in negotiating what we wanted and prices and helped us look at our options and what would suit us and our budget. She helped us see where our money would give us the most bang!

It was important for our wedding to give us pictures and memories to look back on and the venue, Shannon as our coordinator, and all the staff at Lone Star gave us all that we wanted. As a bride, I could not have asked for more! Shannon was ready to help with any special requests we had and was sensitive to our needs.

Thank you so much Shannon, and the staff at the pristine Lone Star Golf Course! We are so grateful to have chosen this place for our wedding. I have no regrets about our decision and only truly wonderful memories!

I give Shannon and the Lone Star Golf Club 5 stars for planning and executing my perfect wedding in May of this year. The challenges for Shannon were the fact I am 65 years old, have multiple sclerosis and live in Fort Worth, Texas. My now husband and I wanted to have our wedding ceremony in El Paso, where we grew up as Army brats and went to the same high school. It is also the city where most of our friends and family still live. So our wedding ceremony had to be planned long-distance. I chose Lone Star Golf Club over other wedding venues for two reasons 1) Shannon is a fantastic wedding planner. 2) The golf course has so many mature trees, water features and bridges. I even designed my wedding invitations and thank you notes using a large mature tree…similar to those on the golf course. Shannon made our wedding everything I prayed it would be. She handled everything from our flowers, cake, decorations, and wedding site under the trees to our ceremony and reception. She even helped us find a photographer and a DJ! When a dear friend could not walk me down the isle as planned, she stepped in to help me from my walker to two lovely decorated chairs, under a flower-decorated arch, for me and my husband to sit in for the wedding ceremony. Shannon was also a great support for me as I could not visit wedding vendors in El Paso. She met with the vendors on my behalf and sent me photos of cakes, decorations and anything else I needed. This helped me feel like I had a friend who was really taking care of things I could not. Her taste is exquisite. Also, she arranged for a discount at a nearby hotel for out of town guests. When I think back on the day of my wedding, I remember the smiles of friends and family. Our reception became part wedding celebration, part family reunion and part high school reunion. Even though it was one of the hottest days of the month, Shannon made sure everyone was comfortable getting to the wedding site by driving our guests in golf carts. It’s hard for me to find the right words to express how grateful I am to Shannon and the staff of the Lone Star Golf Club. I would highly recommend them if you want an outdoor wedding by the lake, under the trees. It was so perfect and so romantic having an sunset wedding. Our reception in the newly refurbished restaurant was perfect. In hindsight, I wouldn’t change anything. Thank you Shannon and Lone Star Golf Club for making my dream come true!
